DR. SEUSS SWISS STYLE VINYL ALBUM COVER DESIGN

As a kid, I loved reading Dr. Seuss’s books. I was a fan of its illustrations and its style of writing. When I recently revisited this book collection, I thought, "For this year’s Dr. Seuss anniversary, why not upgrade the book covers to appeal to adults who grew up reading these books?" and why not turn them into limited edition classic vinyl records that can be sold in stores? And so began the process of turning these illustrated book covers into new designs that included photo manipulation.

The design process involved creating the first image that pops into one’s head when one reads the title. After several rounds of ideation and experimentation with half-tone printing, here are the nine vinyl record cover designs in Swiss design style for the books.
